I remember how I first stepped into the big sparkling crazy wonderland of clothes and fashion called Topshop on London's Oxford Street. I think there were four huge floors of so many different styles. A lot of trend inspired high street pieces (okay quality for quite high prices but you would be mostly unique in Germany with the items - mind that I am not talking about the Topshop house-owned "Unique" collection which is without any doubt to die for!!). The big name from the UK opening a shopping space in Berlin sounded like Christmas to me.
Friday was the opening event and to be really honest - it was disappointing. But no wonder, it is just not possible to push Topshop into somewhat 30m². The selection of fashion (located in a corner of the second floor at Berlin's KaDeWe) unfortunately isn't the best one either. Clothes that could aswell be from Primark only much more expensive and a selection of only four shoes? There went my shopping plan - as a souvenir I bought a pair of sweet strawberry socks but nothing more.
I am thanking the Topshop Team for the nice evening where I could reunite with the loveliest people I haven't seen for too long, but guys, can you please come up with a bigger place asap? Very much appreciated, xx
PS: Sorry, I am really not the person to moan about things but this story is just so shocking that I needed to share!
